- Welcome Reception.
This will be free to all delegates at 7.00pm Sunday 5th September.
- F.I.S.H. and chip dinner with Real Ale + Whisky Tasting and Jazz Music
Date: Evening of Monday 6th
Description: As part of our celebration of all things Chromosome we are offering delegates the chance to attend at a traditional British FISH and chip supper. This hearty meal has been part of the culture since before Victorian times and this experience complete with all the trimmings should not be missed.

Follow supper with a beer and whisky tasting session to test the truth of this claim! The products of the cumulative experience of some of the greatest breweries in Britain will be available for your evaluation and drinking pleasure. Musical entertainment will be provided by a jazz band.Tickets can be booked for this event for £10.50 / €16 / $19.

- Film nights
Date: Monday 6th, Tuesday 7th, and Wednesday 8th
Description: Film showings will be arranged, and as you might expect they will have, in the main, a scientific theme (possibilities include; Jurassic Park, GATACA, AI, The 6th Day, Frankenstien, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, etc. etc.). We also intend to show Stanley Kubrik's classic 'A Clockwork Orange' in the very lecture theatre in which parts of the film were shot.
There will be no need to book tickets for the films. Instead a token charge of around £3 will made on the night.
- Classical Music Recital
Date: Evening of Tuesday 7th
Description: A recital for all lovers of classical music by The Isambard Ensemble.
The evening will feature:
- Haydn : Piano Trio "Gypsy Rondo"
- Mozart : Piano Quartet in G minor
- Schubert : Quintet for piano and strings "The Trout"
- ...and a free glass of wine in the interval!
Tickets can be booked for this event for £6.50 / €10 / $12.
- Virginia Water trip - TRIP STILL OPEN BUT THEATRE OPTION FULL!
Date: Afternoon & Evening of Wednesday 8th
Description: The conference will arrange a coach trip to the tranquil little village of Virginia Water, just outside the grounds of Windsor Great Park. Spend an afternoon in rural England as you always hoped you would find it. Entrance to Windsor Castle (which forms the set to part of the latest Harry Potter film) is included and delegates may also choose to attend Windsor's Theatre Royal in the evening (to see a play entitled "Going Straight").Tickets, which include the return coach fare and Windsor Castle ticket, are priced at £23 / €35 / $43 (with a Theatre Royal ticket supplement of £17 / €25 / $32).
- Conference dinner
Date: Evening of Thursday 9th
Description: The highlight of the conference social programme will be a conference dinner to be held in the Stephenson room. The theme will be medieval and the overall feel will be celebratory. Authentic music, entertainment and dancing performed by Dragonsfire will be provided followed by somewhat less traditional dancing in the main campus bar after the meal.
