Brunel University is located to the west of London with the main campus in Uxbridge. The University received its charter in 1966 and can trace its academic roots back to 1798.

Registration, the Welcome Reception, the poster sessions and the exhibition will be held in the Refrectory building and conference suite. Extensive sign posting will be arranged for delegates benefit. Oral presentations will take place in the main campus Lecture Centre except the Plenary sessions which will take place in the Howell Centre.

The University boasts a vibrant campus atmosphere encompassing the student union, the halls of residence, refectory and some of the best university sport facilities in the country. There is a very well equipped fitness centre with sports halls for badminton, cricket, basketball and squash along with one of the largest indoor climbing walls in Europe. Delegates at the conference will have free access to the campus bars and access to the sports facilities for a nominal charge.

The conference facilities are extensive with rooms ranging from large lecture halls to small meeting rooms; the latest audio-visual projection is available to delegates.

In the evenings the many campus bars provide a welcome respite.

Conference accommodation is situated within 5 minutes walk of the lecture theatres, poster rooms and catering facilities.

Given the proximity to the heart of England's exciting capital city there will be numerous opportunities for excursions and scientific visits during or after the conference.

The M4 and M40 Motorways run conveniently close to the university and trains run regulary to Uxbridge and Dry Drayton railway stations which a a five minte bus ride away. Brunel campus is also very easily accessed from Heathrow airport allowing delegates from overseas to travel simply to and from the conference.
